Luckily, the streaming service has a ton of movies and shows to choose from in its top-rated section, which ranks popular titles based on what’s trending. The best part? The list is updated daily, making it an ideal place to find new suggestions (like Avatar: The Last Airbender).

Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) stars as a man who wakes up in the hospital after a car crash. The problem? He has a slew of enemies who want him dead but no memory of what happened.

The Tourist originally premiered in the U.K. back in January 2022, but it just recently became available to stream in the U.S. Although season two debuted in the U.K. last month, the latest installment is still unavailable in the states (at least for now).

Gordon Cormier stars as a free-spirited young airbender who embarks on a quest to end a dangerous war. He must learn how to manipulate the four elemental powers, so he can defeat a ruthless enemy. 

The live-action film is based on the animated series, which ran from 2005 to 2008. In addition to Cormier, the show also stars Kiawentiio Tarbell, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee.

2. Donnell Rawlings: A New Day

If you’re looking for a good laugh, be sure to tune into Donnell Rawlings’s brand-new comedy special, A New Day. He covers everything from aging and co-parenting to toxic relationships. 

His comedy career started on Chappelle's Show, where he coined the catchphrase “I’m rich, biaaaaatch!” He went on to appear in several television shows, including The Corner, The Wire and Guy Code. Once you've watched A New Day, you can enjoy more of Rawlings's stand-up material in The Degenerates

3. Love Is Blind

The reality show documents contestants as they date each other without ever seeing their faces. That’s because they’re sitting in separate rooms called solo pods, which take blind dating to an entirely new level. 

Love Is Blind season six just premiered on February 14 (Valentine's Day), and it's already claimed the number three spot on Netflix's list of most-watched shows. The first 11 episodes are now available to stream, with new installments debuting every Thursday. 

4. Can I Tell You a Secret?

  • How many seasons: 1
  • For fans of: American Nightmare 
  • Genre: Investigative documentary

The documentary features three women reflecting on their experience with cyberbullying. The drama begins when they receive mysterious messages on social media, but it doesn’t take long for them to realize they’re being stalked by an online bully who’s determined to ruin their lives. 

The two-part docuseries will make you think twice about your privacy settings on social media. Although the ladies aren’t taken seriously at first, everything changes when the police realize that they are just a few of the people being targeted. 

5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

This single-camera comedy follows a group of detectives in New York City, including one slacker who is forced to shape up when he gets a new boss. As you might have expected, shenanigans ensue. 

The procedural show ran for eight successful seasons before airing its final episode in 2021. Cast members include Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero and Joe Lo Truglio. 

6. Mike Epps: Ready to Sell Out

If you’re still looking for more comedy after watching Donnell Rawlings: A New Day, look no further than Mike Epps. The comedian reflects on his career and financial struggles, discussing everything from his dwindling bank account to his failed relationships.

Although his career started on the Def Comedy Jam, he made a name for himself when he portrayed "Black Doug" in The Hangover and The Hangover Part III. He has three other Netflix comedy specials, including Don't Take It Personal (2015), Only One Mike (2019) and Indiana Mike (2022). 

7. Resident Alien

The story is based on the namesake comic book by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. Cast members include Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Meredith Garretson and Linda Hamilton.

8. One Day

  • Who’s in it: Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Essie Davis

  • For fans of: My Life with the Walter Boys
  • Genre: Romantic drama

The romantic series chronicles the friendship between Em and Dex. Their story is a decades-long journey, so prepare to get reeled in as they avoid addressing their feelings for each other.

The series is based on David Nicholls’s best-selling book and the namesake 2011 movie starring Anne Hathaway. Even if you know how the story ends, it’s worth it to witness the on-screen chemistry between Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall.

9. Formula 1: Drive to Survive

  • For fans of: Formula 1
  • Genre: Sports documentary

The docuseries offers a never-before-seen glimpse of the sport of Formula 1 (AKA F1). The series gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at all ten teams, who each appoint two drivers every year to represent their cars on the grid.

The sixth season was released just in time for the first race of 2024, which will take place in Bahrain on Saturday, March 2. Happy binge-watching!

10. Warrior

  • For fans of: Bloodhounds
  • Genre: Period drama

The series follows a martial arts expert who moves to San Francisco from China. It doesn’t take long for him to team up with a powerful crime family, who enlists him to battle against a rival gang in Chinatown. 

The Max original series originally premiered back in 2019 on Cinemax. It ran for three successful seasons, and they’re all available to stream on Netflix.
