With so many streaming services, blockbuster movie releases and new shows that we’re told we must watch, it can feel overwhelming trying to keep up. Sure, we keep our eyes on lists like Netflix’s most-viewed titles, but the big hits aren’t necessarily always worth watching. So, how do you parse through it all? Well, we’ve made your job a little easier by finding all the shows and movies that are worth your time each week. From The Tourist to Napoleon, here’s what to watch this weekend.

1. The Tourist

What would you do if you woke up in a hospital with no memory of what happened or who you are? Well, that’s exactly what happens to Elliot Stanley (Jamie Dornan). To make matters worse, he learns that he has a slew of enemies who want him dead. Season two was just added to Netflix, and it will likely explore the attraction between Elliot and Helen (Danielle Macdonald). 

2. The Voice

The popular singing competition is finally back for season 25. The new installments follow talented contestants as they take the stage in an attempt to impress one (or more) of the coaches, including John Legend, Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper and Dan + Shay. Following the blind auditions, the competitors battle against each other until there’s one person remaining.

3. Priscilla

Everyone knows about the life and career of Elvis Presley (played by Jacob Elordi), but what about his other half, Priscilla (Cailee Spaeny)? The biographical drama offers a rare glimpse into their complicated relationship and how it evolved as the singer rose to stardom. Although it originally premiered in theaters, this is the first time the film is available for streaming. 

4. American Idol

The competition series follows talented singers who have big dreams of pursuing careers in the music industry. The contestants audition in front of an esteemed panel of judges—Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan—for the chance to earn a ticket to Hollywood, where they compete against other musicians in the hope of becoming the next American Idol.

5. God Save Texas

  • Number of seasons: 1

Join filmmakers Richard Linklater, Alex Stapleton and Iliana Sosa as they return to their Texas hometowns to learn more about the fascinating history of each city. Not only did the show just premiere on Max, but it also has a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes

6. Napoleon

  • Rating: R
  • Runtime: 157 minutes

The historical epic (which was directed by Gladiator filmmaker Ridley Scott) highlights the commander’s (Joaquin Phoenix) personal and military life, highlighting how he rose to power while balancing a relationship with his wife, Joséphine (Vanessa Kirby). The film was originally released in theaters, but it’s now available to stream on Apple TV+.

7. The Family Stallone

  • Number of seasons: 2

Fans of Sylvester Stallone ought to tune into this reality series, which just debuted its second season. The show offers a never-before-seen look into the actor’s life with his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and his three daughters, Sophie, Sistine and Scarlet.

8. Earthsounds

  • Rating: TV-G
  • Number of seasons: 1

If you love nature documentaries like Planet Earth and Life on Our Planet, then you need to watch Earthsounds. Narrated by Tom Hiddleston (Loki, The Night Manager), the natural history documentary uses audio technology to highlight untold stories about the planet and demonstrate how animals communicate. The series consists of 12 episodes, making it an ideal option for binge-watchers. 

9. Avatar: The Last Airbender

Fans of the original animated series will appreciate this live-action adaptation, which stars Gordon Cormier as a free-spirited young airbender who embarks on a quest to end a dangerous war. From stunning visual effects to solid performances, it's easy to see why this series sailed to number one on Netflix's top ten list of most-watched shows.

10. Constellation

Noomi Rapace is Jo, a NASA astronaut who survives a catastrophic incident in outer space and makes it back to Earth. However, when she returns, she learns that pieces of her life are missing, causing her to question whether she landed in a different world.

11. The Color Purple

  • Runtime: 141 minutes

The movie is based on the novel by Alice Walker, which was previously adapted into a 1985 movie and Broadway show. The most recent iteration follows the same story of a woman named Celie who’s struggling to overcome hardships. Things start to look up when she meets a jazz singer who shows her how to live life to the fullest. The star-studded cast includes Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks and Colman Domingo.
